 What is Kindness Groceries?

Park Central Development, in partnership with our Anchor Partner Washington University in St.Louis,  The Forest Park Southeast Development Corporation and Missouri Foundation for Health, has raised funds to help with the impact that COVID-19 is having on our neighborhoods.

During this critical time, significant disruptions in community and regional services, as well as mass school closures due to COVID-19, can keep people from having their basic needs met, including access to food. These include impacts to the youngest among us, school-aged children, low-income and poor vulnerable adults and the elderly.

With so much uncertainty on the horizon, we want to provide relief and access to an essential resource to our community in a timely manner. During the month of April, we are working with City Greens Market and Fields Foods to provide fresh grocery deliveries to 150 families and seniors with a no-contact grocery delivery. Groceries will include a selection of meat, diary (milk/eggs), veggies and fruits. We will expand the Program to partner with Cornerstone CDC , Park Place, the Academy/Sherman-Park Neighborhood Association and  additional organizations to Launch the “Delmar Kindness Groceries Collaborative” to provide groceries through a no-contact delivery service to residents in the Academy/Sherman Park Fountain Park & West End neighborhoods. To donate, volunteer or sign-up to receive groceries, please contact Nanyamka Brown at 314-643-8261 or NBrown@pcd-stl.org.
