Stay in Place Program

The goal of the stay in place programming is to assist residence of St Louis City in staying and and thriving in their community. Below we have listed a few of our direct services that are provided through our office

CRC Registration

Apply for assistance through our CRC application.

Delmar Tax Relief Fund

This fund’s purpose is to assist residents in the Central and Delmar corridor (owner occupied homes) from losing their homes at tax sales due to back taxes and to assist with providing relief to homeowners facing rising property tax due to gentrification and drastic increases in property value, as well as to assist residents impacted by Covid-19 from becoming delinquent in property taxes.

Real Estate Tax Assistance Program

In the city of St. Louis, over 50 owner-occupied homes are estimated to be lost due to tax foreclosure each year due to unpaid real estate taxes, sometimes over as little as $400. As the result of a tax foreclosure, homeowners face loss of housing stability and erasure of equity, while neighborhoods bear the burden of population loss and increased vacancy.

RETAF prevents these devastating events and keeps families in their homes by providing immediate financial assistance to owner-occupant homeowners who are at imminent risk of a tax foreclosure.

Community Impact Fund

The Park Central Community Impact Fund will be used for home repair funding for residents, ADA accommodations, utility assistance, infrastructure, improvements, beautification & economic development.

Grove CID Safety Window Infrastructure Program

Due to the recent increase in break-ins city-wide, the Grove CID will be providing funds to assist businesses in the Grove in installing safety, shatter-proof windows. These businesses must be located in the Grove Business District to be eligible while funds are available.
