Fountain Park & Lewis Place
Location
The Fountain Park neighborhood is defined by Dr. Martin Luther King Drive to the North and Delmar Boulevard to the South. Walton Avenue lies to the East and North Kingshighway Boulevard to its West. Lewis Place is defined by Martin Luther King Drive on the North, Delmar Boulevard on the South, Newstead Avenue on the East, and Walton on the West.
Our Efforts
PCD helped to establish Park Place Housing & Economic Development Corporation in the two neighborhoods. We also supported Rebuilding Together in organizing interested resident and collecting applications for their first Rebuild Day in October 2019.
In 2019, PCD wrote a grant proposal for a project in Academy/ Sherman Park for the 2020 Community Development Block Grant funding year. The St. Louis City Community Development Administration recommended $15,000 of funding go towards the proposal. The funding will be used to support the neighborhood association there, as well as safety and security in the area.
